Personal fitness trainer and triathlete Kirsten Bell started the fun and sociable weekly sessions in November with easy run and walk intervals and has built up this February to running the full Screenland 5K for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. The Kapable Koaching owner recently completed her third Ironman Mont Tremblant, and finished the Senshu Marathon in sister city Kaizuka, Japan, two years ago as a representative of the Culver City Sister City Committee.
Olympic Games bronze medalist Rod Dixon and the Centaur cross country team have been coaching youngsters in the weekly sessions. The two time World Cross Country Championship medalist and winner of the New York City Marathon leads the KiDSMARATHON program, which develops the joy of exercise and nutrition and positive life-long habits.
Personal trainer Darian Hawkins of ROI Olympians is assisting several of the training session guests in the citywide weight loss challenge campaign for the Screenland 5K. Former two-time national and collegiate sprinter champion sprinter Ginnie Crawford is working out with Culver City’s Turning Point School students, faculty and families to prepare for the race of the century.

Walk ‘n Rollers will conduct a free Trike, Scooter and Skateboard Rally, 8:20-8:40 p.m., alongside the yellow brick road at the Screenland 5K. Kids of all ages may join in the fun.
