Enjoy attractions during your historic run through the movie studio history of Culver City.

 

Watch out for the Ghostbusters!  Scoot past the Smurfs.

 

Culver City Public Theatre, the Culver City High School Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, Actors’ Gang and Dee-Lightful Productions will perform nostalgic Heart of Screenland scenes.  La Ballona Boosters will showcase historic props from the 100 points of Culver City lore along the course.  Behold the Centennial sounds of Double Batch Daddy, Algorithm and Blues, Honey Whiskey Trio, the Sonny Bennett group, Doppler Effect, and Cali Rose and the Culver City Strummers.

 

Delight to the magical Fantastic Fig and Newton, and Culver City Middle School and High School bands and pep squads.  Walk or run past vintage carriages from Culver City-films.  High five your favorite Culver City-based movie and TV characters.  Finish on the red carpet with Scarlett O’Hara, Rhett Butler and the paparrazi.

Brick by brick

Screenland 5K guests painted and skipped on the Yellow Brick Road, posed in a 3-D Emerald City photo exhibit and with movie figures of Culver City lore, and engaged with street chalk artists at the Culver City Centennial Downtown Block Party.  Click on images to experience their full sizes.  Click here for more Screenland 5K family fun zone happenings.

Oscar worthy finish

Every finisher earns a medal. Top overall and masters division finishers and best themed costumed runners and teams win “Best performance in a leading role” swag bags in the fun awards ceremony at 10:15 am.  Visit the results kiosk for your times and see your exciting photo finish online.

 

Munchkin Kids Dashers race in their official Culver City Centennial Screenland 5K race shirts and earn high fives at the finish line.  Jim Shanman and Walk ‘n Rollers will conduct a tricycle and scooter race, 8:20-8:40 a.m., alongside the yellow brick road in front of The Culver Hotel, host hotel for the Screenland 5K.

You’re a star

Race as your favorite screen star under the rainbow, through the studios and along the Centennial Trail and be eligible for a Swag Bag filled with prizes.  Hundreds of movies and TV shows were filmed along the Screenland 5K course.
