In the open fields traversed by Native Americans and transformed into ranchos, Culver City founder Harry Culver in 1913 saw promise as he stood on the nation’s smallest Main Street where the Screenland 5K starts, halfway between the growing pueblo of Los Angeles and Abbot Kinney’s “Venice of America” resort. The Screenland 5K starts and finishes in downtown Culver City located on the L.A. westside, south of the 10 Freeway and east of the 405, at the intersection of Culver and Washington boulevards. It is 5-7 miles from LAX, Beverly Hills, Venice, Westwood, Century City, Brentwood, UCLA, USC and the beaches.
By Bus: Culver City Bus Line 1 will drop you off at Screenland 5K Finish Line Festival at Media Park, steps from the race start.
By Car: Parking is free until 11 a.m. and $1 for each succeeding 30 minutes in the three public parking structures near the Screenland 5K finish line festival. Click here to see access to parking structures on Watseka Av., Cardiff Av., and Ince Bl. via Venice Bl. Please be respectful of the neighbors and read all street parking signs.
